CobolPeople.com meets the staffing demands of Mission Critical COBOL business applications in medium to high-volume transaction environments. We believe the "experts" are wrong when they say COBOL is dead, and we are dedicating our company to the increasing needs of COBOL development and maintenance.
CobolPeople.com is a division of e.serv Technical Solutions, which was founded in 1999. We support a growing, national client base from our Cambridge, Wisconsin headquarters. Since its inception, e.serv has built a reputation for providing professional and experienced IT personnel to our high-profile clients.
Our clients run the gamut of Fortune 100 companies to medium size businesses to government agencies. Industries we have provided IT resources for, include: banking, finance, insurance, utilities, entertainment, travel, retail, distribution, manufacturing, government and healthcare.
We are passionate about finding the right fit between client and candidate and candidate and client. We consider technical skills to play an important role of a candidate's eligibility; but skills are only one piece of a complex puzzle. Our belief is that technical skills combined with industry experience, character, personality and soft skills makes the best fit for the candidate and the client.

Rob Warren – President and Founder
Rob has been in the IT business for over 20 years in hardware and services. He founded e.serv Technical Solutions in 1999 after seeing a need for a company more in tune with the marketplace. He originally offered perm placement of Unisys mainframe people to clients nationwide and as the market changed he added contract and contract to hire services to the e.serv product line. The decision was made to re-brand e.serv Technical Solutions to CobolPeople.com in 2007 to reconfirm the commitment to COBOL systems.
Steve Swanson – Executive Vice President
Steve has been in IT staffing business since 1996 working for a several large staffing firms supporting a variety of technologies. He came to e.serv / CobolPeople.com in 2005 because of the reputation for strong customer service and the commitment to Customers (both Candidate and Client). Steve has become an expert on resume writing and presentation and has presented resume writing and interview techniques at the university level through speaking engagements. Steve lives in Raleigh North Carolina and oversees all Sales and Recruiting functions.
Robin Jarlsberg – Sales/Recruiting Coordinator
Robin joined the e.serv /ColbolPeople.com family in August 2005. As our Sales and Recruiting Coordinator her mission is to provide the best staffing solutions for our client organizations while helping our candidates advance their career goals.
Prior to joining e.serv, Robin spent 17 years with the School District of Cambridge WI, nine of those years as Technology Director. She provided the School District with technical support for approximately 950 users, implemented, maintained and supported the LAN and WAN networks including servers, fiber, routers, computers, printers and lead the implementation of a Cisco VOIP phone system.
Sharon Erb – Office Manager
Sharon joined e.serv /CobolPeople.com in October 2003. Sharon is responsible for payroll, invoicing, payables and receivables, in addition to all other administrative functions.
Prior to joining e.serv, Sharon worked in Palm Springs, CA for the President of KSL Resorts, a company that owns and operates luxury resorts across the country. A native of Wisconsin, she worked for many years as Administrative Assistant in the State Senate and House of Representatives.
Sharon served three Wisconsin Governors as Assistant Director at the Governor's Residence. She executed State dinners and receptions, performed accounting duties, and coordinated public tours of the residence. Sharon entered the campaign arena and coordinated the schedule for a U.S. Senate candidate. She was appointed as Regional Advocate to the Small Business Administration where she served for four years.
